My Dear Esteemed Members, Respected Seniors, Past Presidents and Professional Colleagues,
It is with immense humility, deep gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of responsibility that I stand before you as the President of our beloved Income Tax Bar Association, Ahmedabad — an institution that has served the tax profession with distinction, dedication, and dignity for nearly eight decades. This moment is not just a personal milestone for me; it is a sacred responsibility entrusted to me by each one of you, and I shall carry it with all the sincerity and devotion it deserves.
I also humbly acknowledge that I may be amongst the youngest Presidents this Association has seen in its long and illustrious history — though I say this with all due respect to those who came before me, many of whose journeys I may not be fully aware of. This possibility, if true, only adds to the reverence I feel for this moment.
At the very outset, I bow with reverence to all our founding members, seniors, and past Presidents whose vision, sacrifice, and tireless efforts have built this association into the respected institution it is today. Every programme conducted, every representation made, every member guided — all of it stands as a testament to their selfless service. Their legacy is our greatest inheritance, and I am absolutely committed to honoring it with every decision I make and every step I take during my tenure.
I must extend my warmest congratulations and deepest appreciation to our outgoing President, Adv. Dr. Kartikey B Shah, and his entire dedicated team for the exceptional work accomplished during the activity year 2025-26. His leadership was marked by clarity of thought, strength of purpose, and remarkable execution. He has set a high benchmark for all of us, and I am both inspired and motivated by the strong foundation he has laid. I also take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the office bearers, committee members, and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make every initiative a success.
As I assume this responsibility, I am acutely aware that we are living and practising in times of extraordinary transformation. Tax laws are being rewritten, regulations are becoming increasingly complex, technology is reshaping the way we work, and the expectations of our clients are evolving rapidly. In this dynamic environment, our association must not merely adapt — it must lead. It must be the guiding force that empowers our members to face every challenge with confidence and competence.
My vision for the year 2026-27 is centred around four core pillars that I believe will take our association — and our profession — to greater heights Read More
