It is with a deep sense of responsibility, humility, and commitment that I address you as the Interim President of the Income Tax Bar Association for the year 2025–2026.

This transition in leadership has arisen due to the unfortunate yet unavoidable circumstances under which CA Maulik Patel, our elected President, was constrained to tender his resignation midway through his tenure owing to pressing personal reasons. While the situation is indeed unfortunate, it is important to place on record our profound appreciation for his selfless service, dedication, and constructive contribution to this esteemed Association. During his tenure, he consistently worked with sincerity, integrity, and an inclusive approach, always keeping the larger interest of the fraternity at heart. The Association acknowledges his efforts with gratitude and wishes him strength and success in all his future endeavors.

The Income Tax Bar Association, since its glorious inception in 1947, has stood as a beacon of professional excellence, ethical conduct, and intellectual leadership. Over the decades, this Association has nurtured generations of tax professionals, contributed meaningfully to the development of tax jurisprudence, and played a pivotal role in fostering dialogue between the Bar, the Bench, and the administration. Upholding this rich legacy is not merely a tradition—it is a solemn duty entrusted to each one of us.

As we move forward, the Association has charted an ambitious yet purposeful roadmap for the coming year. Among the key forthcoming initiatives is the Two-Day Tax Conclave, a flagship joint program of the Income Tax Bar Association (ITBA) and the All Gujarat Federation of Tax Consultants (AGFTC).
